SHAHI GOBI

HELLO ONCE AGAIN ! 

 IN MY LAST BLOG WE  LEARNT TO MAKE MUGLAI TEA. TODAY'S RECIPE WILL BE

                                                                                         SHAHI  GOBI 

                                                                     

FOR 3-4 SERVING                                                       

INGREDIENTS :

  • Cauliflower - 500gms                                         
  • Potatoes - 3 Medium sized chopped
  • Tomatoes - 6-7 Small
  • Peas - 1 Tea cup Boiled
  • Curd - 1 Tea cup
  • Salt - 2 Teaspoon or according to taste
  • Oil - As required for frying
  • Red chillies - 2 Teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 2 Tablespoon
  • Turmeric - 1 1/2  Teaspoon
  • Garlic - 3-4 Cloves 
  • Ginger - 1 Inch piece
  • Poppy seeds (khus- khus) - 2 Tablespoon
  • Onion - 2 Medium sized
  • Cloves -  5-6
  • Black peppers  - 8
  • Bay leaves - 2
  • Chopped coriander leaves - 1 Handful

PROCEDURE :
  • Cut the cauliflower and potatoes into large pieces
  • Deep fry potatoes and cauliflower seaprately.
  • Spread them out on a plate lined with paper towel to take out the excess oil
  • Make a paste of ginger , garlic , onion along with red chillies.
  • Heat a 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan and add the bay leaves , cloves and pepper and cook  for 1 minute,
  • Then add the ginger - garlic paste and fry till golden yellow 
  • Add turmeric powder , coriander powder and salt.
  • Then add tomatoes and mix well
  • Cook till the masala colour turns darker red and tomatoes pieces become soft.
  • Make a paste of curd and poppy seeds(khus-khus) and add to the above mixture.
  • Then add the deep fried cauliflower and potatoes florets and mix well gently till the florets get completely covered will masala.
  • Cook on low heat for 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with roti.
